As followers of Jesus, the Spirit of God is in us. He is with us, will guide us in truth, and comfort us (John 14:16, 26; 16:13). As part of the Trinity, the Spirit can be trusted. We are to look to him and trust his work in our lives. He has a critical role in our ministry in different cultures. Paul interpreted the vision of a man from Macedonia as a call by God to preach the gospel to them (Acts 16:6-10). Although this was unexpected, he followed God’s leading in those unique circumstances.

 

Those serving in Muslim contexts will encounter specific challenges related to that environment. At times, the way forward will be unclear. Turning to the Holy Spirit and following his leading are important actions in those situations.
