1. Memorize stories from the Bible (e.g. parables, miracles, etc.) in the target language.

2. Learn to share the essentials of the gospel in the language 

3. Pray with the sick and oppressed for healing and deliverance

4. Develop a sympathy for the gospel in friends' minds

5. Develop a strategy for reaching receptive people ("men and women of peace") and their family and friends as a group.  This strategy can be 1) Discovery Bible Studies which are evangelistic in nature, 2) Chronological Storying, or 3) Strategic Storying.

6. Begin Discovery Bible studies or oral witnessing (for illiterate or barely literate people) in homes, using methods which can be easily imitated by the people.

7. Encourage people to bring friends, relatives, associates, and other relations to the Bible studies.

8. Prayerfully identify one or more heads of households as potential leaders among your relationships 

9. Lead people to commit to following Jesus, continually seeking to reach heads of household who can then win their families. The goal is to get a cohesive social group to agree to follow Jesus in community. Individuals can then be added to this community

10. Seize opportunities to demonstrate Christ and the power of God in daily life

11. Follow the leading of the Spirit in connecting with and meeting people’s needs (the models of Jesus and the early church, as well as from Chinese history)

12. Use Discovery Bible Studies for evangelism

    • Initial Discovery of the “man of Peace” for evangelism

    • Using DBS with people who can’t read

    • Introducing people to the Bible (One Hope overview)

    • DBS with evangelistic scriptures

    • How to lead people to repentance and faith

13. Use Entrepreneurial Strategies for Evangelism

    • How to use business to connect with people

    • How to use community needs to connect with people

    • How to use community health to connect with people

    • How to use music, sports, creative activities to connect with people

 15. Develop a team approach with the local churches to train evangelists for outreach
