I have been learning from the Word of God and obeying it in my life.

If you go to the mission field, it is crucial that you know the Word of God, that you understand what it teaches, your heart and mind are filled with its truths.  The Word of God is truth in contrast to other religions.  It has actually happened that people have gone to be missionaries among Muslims and have become Muslim because they didn’t know their own Bible truths.

Furthermore, when you have led people to salvation, they need to learn the truths of the Word of God themselves, to become established as Christians.  The missionary needs to be able to teach them the Word of God; therefore the need to know it and be prepared to teach it.
